Danielle Schloemp, RVT, CHPT®, CPEP, HABC
Danielle has been a registered veterinary technician for nearly 20 years, with experience spanning general practice, shelter medicine, specialty and emergency care, integrative medicine, and for the past nearly 10 years, veterinary end-of-life care. Throughout her career, she has seen firsthand not only the importance of compassionate veterinary medicine, but how profoundly animals are woven into the health and well-being of our families and communities.
In addition to supporting pet families through Pet Hospice Partners, Danielle serves as Director of Operations for the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (IAAHPC), where she also chairs the Education Committee and administers the CHPV® and CHPT® Certification Programs—helping to educate and certify veterinary professionals around the world in veterinary hospice and palliative care.
Danielle’s passion for this work is deeply personal. Her heart dog, Wyatt, is her “why”—the reason she is so committed to helping families navigate the final chapter of life with their beloved pets. Everyone has a why, and Wyatt continues to guide hers.
Outside of work, Danielle enjoys spending time outdoors with her family—hiking, kayaking, and cheering on the Buffalo Bills and THE Ohio State Buckeyes. She also loves cooking and entertaining, always happiest when bringing people together around good food and meaningful conversation.
